Book Reviews:

Just finished another book...
heres my ratings on books i've read THIS YEAR so far:

2012 books read:

The Hunger Games: Suzanne Collins- 5/5 (REALLY original and very intense.)
Catching Fire: Suzanne Collins- 4/5 (Great but the whole twist threw me off at points)
Mockingjay: Suzanne Collins- 5/5 (My fav of the trilogy. IDK why everyone disliked it)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower: Stephen Chbosky- 4/5 (very coming-of-age novel. Loved the relationships. very relatable.)
The Mission: Jason Myers:- 4/5 (Love the city of SF. Love the culture&modern day vibe/references. just a chill read. no big plot, really.)
Killing Britney: Sean Olin- 2/5 (Feels very young. The end saved it from being a 1, there's a twist! overall, very gory & kinda forgetful.)
Variant: Robinson Wells- 5/5 (i am in LOVE with this book. Cant wait for book2. Great new author!! The ending had me screaming!)
Will Grayson, Will Grayson: John Green/David Levithan - 3.5/5 (Very original. Tiny Cooper annoyed me though, which made me irritated at times.)
The Fault in Our Stars: John Green- 5/5 (This is probably my favorite independent book. AMAZING. Actually put me in tears...MUST READ)
The Body Finder: Kimberly Derting- 3.5/5 (It was just Good. Nice plot. boring at times. Will not rush into the trilogy, however.Around page 170, twist! LOVED that part. Also loved the killers POV chapters)
Bait: Alex Sanchez- 3/5 (*i was expecting something SO different * VERY strong topic. GREAT book, but very predictable. Read through it in about 11 hour time period. Can def. see how this book can touch so many people.....)

Currently Reading: Shine-Lauren Myracle

*List will be updated frequently with books i finish*

since i have been working on my book lately, i wanted to post different pieces of it, so i can eventually look back at the process.

It is like she owns the parlor as she walks by each room. All the heavily tattooed men, and some women, lock their eyes on her. Maybe it’s because of the way she presents herself, or maybe just because her hair is long and blonde with rainbow ends. She attracts attention, and when she gets that attention, she doesn’t care enough to acknowledge it. When we reach the room in which Natalie will go under the gun, she sits down and takes off her tube top, leaving her in just a sports bra. “I want it centered under my boobs”, she requests. The way the artist looks at her is like he’s never seen a girl in a bra before. Or maybe a girl has never willingly taken her top off for him before. Either way, it’s creep status. “Turner, when are you going to get more ink? I miss my tattoo buddy!”, Natalie whines. “I don’t know” I answer, “I have no more ideas left”. It's not like I don't want anymore ink, or that i'm suddenly against the whole idea. I mean, I do have quite a few tattoos, seven, to be exact. But that was when my ideas came to me like lighting hitting a medal pole. That was when my imagination was still functioning and my creativity still existed.

my goal is to slowly and surely work on this novel. it's a work in progress in the context of everyday-life inspired.

fucking pricks.

honestly, if your BIGGEST worry in life is booking a tennis court a week in advance, you have NO right to be flipping out on me!

Since i answer phones at work (club fit) all these hardcore tennis pro's abuse the fuck out of me and my coworkers if their tennis courts don't get booked or their time/court is not available.

Im sick of it. We are all teens-young adults, while you are in your 50's and 60's.

STOP YELLING AND BEING A TOOL.
YOU'RE NOT PRIVILEGED.
GO DIE.

Sincerely,
a customer service receptionist who will rip your face off.

i just need to collect different pieces i've written & turn them into one.

currently working on:

To dream of you, is to live in false hope.

NY I love you, but I gotta learn to let it go.

The people I know, the people In this town

Are all so cold, are all a let down

Feels like no ones around

Feels like im falling down

Feels like an endless battle

Theres gotta be more

Am I going too far?

(verse from to a currently-being-written song called "San Francisco".)

"rocket to the moon"

(verse 1)
she once was an angel
looking for the light
she jumped on aboard a plane
and took off into the night
she was always a dreamer
and she felt so alive
that plane went down
and burned the hollywood sign.

(chorus)
i wouldn't have let you go
i would always keep you here, close.
so why'd you have to go?
the stars don't even compare to you
so why'd you have to leave so soon
on a rocket to the moon?

(verse 2)
Now i question myself everyday
try to find the strength to be okay
now that you're gone
i cant find the answers
you said you'd be on TV one day
with celebrities like Springsteen
where are you now?
im drowning in the crowd
im screaming out loud, that...

(chorus)
i wouldn't have let you go
i would always keep you here, close.
so why'd you have to go?
the stars don't even compare to you
so why'd you have to leave so soon
on a rocket to the moon?

(bridge)
and it's not fair,
you're everywhere
i cant let you go
but you are gone
so ill never think twice
im going to hollywood
to make something of my life

tonight

cause i just wanna let you know
that i never planned on letting you go
you're, you're you're you're beautiful
you're beautiful !

so why'd you have to leave so soon,
on a rocket to the moon.?

(note: i write all my own lyrics free-styled while listening to the instrumentals)

CCSF.

applying to college.

I believe I have picked where i want to go to school.
City College of San Francisco.

I have felt a pull towards this city for awhile now.
Just the whole "do whatever/wear whatever" atmosphere makes me want to visit.
(&no, i've never been to the West Coast before)

I applied last week, so hopefully i hear back soon.

fame will kill.

it eats you alive.
and devours your insides;
seeks through your skin.
and takes control.

fame kills.
